Wicked Local Reports on Scientists Efforts to Connect with STEM Programs
Wicked Local Cambridge discusses the impact that local biotechnology and engineering firms are having on local students’ education through NetPals. The NetPals program first launched in 1999 with a few local science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) firms participating. Since then, the program has grown to encompass 15 corporate partners providing 260 volunteer mentors for seventh-grade science students.
Vecna’s employees are encouraged to spend up to 10% of paid working time to local and global community service efforts. Vecna has been volunteering with NetPals since 2011.
