Vecna In the News: BBC

Cambridge, MA – Vecna’s Bear robot was recently reviewed in a BBC article by Sharon Weinberger as part of a general review of military robots. The article explores the growth in robotic “autonomy” while surveying several robots already in use by the military that lack autonomous features. By and large, the robots reviewed share the common purpose of keeping warfighters safer by taking on the more dangerous tasks on the battlefield and elsewhere. These robots are an invaluable resource to members of the military, helping warfighters in risky situations.
