Temple University Hospital and Holy Name Hospital Live on QC PathFinder® Version 5.1

CAMBRIDGE, MA, July 23, 2010 – Vecna Medical, the leading provider of electronic infection surveillance and patient self-service solutions, today announced that the latest version of its QC PathFinder® infection control solution, Version 5.1, is now generally available and live at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, New Jersey. Version 5.1 supports submission of HAI reports to the CDC’s National Health Safety Network (NHSN) program. Version 5.1 also includes support for non-culture tests such as Hepatitis, Influenza, and Varicella. Finally, support for custom pharmacy reports is available with 5.1, allowing customers to quickly adopt reports for adverse-drug events, IV-PO interchange, and restricted drugs. Temple and Holy Name were selected as beta partners in the development of QC PathFinder® Version 5.1 in early 2010. “Temple and Holy Name provided valuable feedback during development and served as test sites for the new version. We are happy to hear they have already begun using QC PathFinder® to submit to NHSN,” says Ron Urwongse, Product Manager of QC PathFinder®. Vecna plans to upgrade all QC PathFinder’s customers to Version 5.1 by the end of the year.
