Team Members Attend 38th Annual NAHAM Conference in San Diego

CAMBRIDGE, MA – Vecna Medical will exhibit its cutting-edge patient self-service solutions at the annual National Association of Healthcare Access Management (NAHAM) educational conference and expo in San Diego, California, on May 8-11, 2012.

This year’s conference will address patient access and the revenue cycle. The optimizing potential of Vecna Medical’s solutions perfectly position these products to assist healthcare professionals in promoting patient access while improving revenue capture. Vecna’s patient self-service offerings engage patients in their care on site and through any web-enabled device. These products also decrease demographic errors, optimize throughput, and facilitate processes like insurance verification and bill payment. Through these healthcare efficiencies, hospitals can realize dramatic savings.

Jim Murphy, Vecna Medical’s Director of Business Development, Healthcare, will be in attendance at NAHAM. In anticipation of this event, he remarked, “Healthcare providers across the nation are facing financial challenges because of revenue cycle inefficiencies. Vecna Medical’s patient self-service solutions recruit a motivated patient population to a facility’s administrative team, rendering clerical tasks virtually obsolete. Extending secure self-service options to patients over the web streamlines on-site operations and drives down cost.” Murphy also noted, “On-site kiosks streamline existing intake procedures, increase point of service collections, and improve data accuracy. These useful front-end changes have a direct, positive impact on back-end revenue cycle operations by making patient data readily accessible to and more easily managed by healthcare providers and staff.”

Vecna Medical representatives will be manning booth #816 and will be available to speak with NAHAM attendees about these revenue cycle improvements as well as the high ROI and low total cost of ownership provided by Vecna’s patient access solutions. Attendees will also be able to learn about Vecna’s other healthcare products: QC PathFinder® electronic infection surveillance and pharmacy stewardship software and the QC Bot™ hospital logistics robot.

NAHAM conference-goers who visit the Vecna booth are encouraged to enter the prize drawing for a free iPad2. Vecna Medical will be giving away three iPads the course of the conference.
