| "College Park Cares 10K
and Fun Walk" Fundraiser for the Medical Care for Children Partnership
College Park, MD, Jun 16, 2005 - Vecna Technologies, Inc. will be inaugurating a fundraiser in College Park, MD to help local needy children with medical care. The "College Park Cares 10K and Fun Walk" on July 4, 2005 benefits the Medical Care for Children Partnership, a program that provides medical services to children in low income families. There are thousands of parents in Prince George's County who fall under the category of the working poor. "These families do not earn enough to buy health insurance for their children, but earn too much to qualify for Medicaid," said Deborah Theobald, CEO of Vecna. "Lack of access to healthcare can result in economic hardship for families and communities." Three events will be held: the College Park Cares 10K Race, 3K Fun Walk, and 200 Meter Kids Run for children 12 and under. The activities start at 8 am on July 4 at the College Park City Hall on Knox Road. The course continues through the streets of College Park, down Paint Branch Parkway, and onto the Anacostia Trail around Lake Artemesia. Enthusiastic runners, volunteers and sponsors are all welcomed for
the event. To learn more about the "College Park 10K and Fun Walk" event,
